On the same day, the festivity of the celebration continued as an exciting “Zumba Modern Dance Competition” happened afterwards, participated by different associations of women in the Municipality.
The LGU organized the “Walk for Women” happened last March 23, 2018. The “Walk for Women” provided the opportunity to have fun, bond and strengthen the camaraderie of women as they cheerfully traverse around the Poblacion.
Last February 26, 2018, the Local Government Unit of Pura, headed by the Municipal Mayor Concepcion A. Zarate, officially announced the opening of the month long celebration of Women’s Month during the Flag Raising Ceremony.
“Women inspiring women.” Last March 22, 2018, the LGU conducted a career orientation to the Senior High School students of Pura entitled “Men-Dominating Jobs.” This activity tackled the importance of self-determination in pursuing a profession regardless of one’s gender.
In addition, as part of highlighting the empowerment of women in our society, the coveted 2018 Achievements Award was held last March 18, 2018 at the Municipal Auditorium.
