Free livelihood trainings on bag making, food processing and basic training on haircut/barbering were conducted with the efforts of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office last March 5 – 9, 2018 and March 19 – 23, 2018, respectively.
In the light of Women’s Month, an orientation/seminar on Laws Protecting Women and Mothers was held last March 21, 2018 at Pura Multi-Purpose Building. Atty. Katherine G. Apolonio – Carantes, the Resource Speaker, talked about the R.A. 9262 and R.A. 7610. She gave insights and awareness regarding on the protection and the rights of women in the Philippines.
One of the identified activities of 2018 NWMC is the conduct of Photo and Poster-Making Contest that depicts the promotion of the rights and empowerment of all women and girls. The contest was joined and participated by students of different schools in Pura (Grade 7 to 12) by means of submitting their entry and sharing their God-given talent.
